Policy for Massage Therapy and Body Treatments
Your time with us is precious...
Please turn off your cell phone, beeper, or pager. The therapy room is an oasis of peace and quiet. For your convenience there is a phone at
the Reception Desk. Our friendly staff will gladly take a message.
Scheduling/Rescheduling
Take full advantage of your visit by coming in a few minutes prior to your appointment time to simply relax. Arriving late to an appointment may
deprive you of valuable time. Any delays caused by us will not shorten your treatment. Spa Packages require 3 – 4 weeks advance notice as
coordinating everyone’s schedule can be challenging.
Cancellations
Require a minimum of 24 hours on all appointments. We maintain a waiting list, please be considerate.
Payment
Due upon completion of service, however, Gift Certificates, are to be shown prior to service being rendered.
Gift Certificates
Available in individual services, gift packages, or by dollar amount. These are valid for a ninety-day (90) time period. Please mention the Gift
Certificate when scheduling an appointment; then present it at appointment.
Because the Spa and Hair Salon services are reserved for you, we ask you notify us 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule as
we maintain a waiting list.
To receive maximum benefit and relaxation from a massage…
- Arrive a few minutes early. If you have not received a massage at TIBIDABO Spa & Salon, you will receive a client case history form to fill
out with information about your health. This will enable the massage therapist to adapt the massage to fit your needs.
- During the massage, your therapist keeps your entire body draped and only undrapes that portion that is being massaged. If you feel
more comfortable leaving your undergarments on, this is fine too. All jewelry must be removed.
- Before your massage begins, you will review your case history with the therapist and discuss whether there is anything you feel she should
be aware of. Feel free to express your needs so as to receive attention to tense or trouble spots. Your therapist will ask you a few
questions to ascertain the most optimum treatment for your session
- Enjoy, benefit and allow others to “do for you.”
- Relax. This is your time and time for your body and mind to release the worries and stresses of the day. Deep breathing and closing of
your eyes will assist in your complete relaxation.
- Let your therapist know if you are comfortable or uncomfortable, too warm or too cold, or if the massage pressure is too light or too intense.
- Trust your massage therapist to move your limbs into positions necessary for and during the massage.
- Enjoy the massage and know that you are doing something very good for your body and your mind. You deserve this healthy interlude.
- We care. Please, give honest feedback to the therapist, receptionist, owner, etc. Fill out comment card to maintain privacy.
- Gratuities are accepted according to your experience.
What can it do for you? How often should you have a massage?
Massage therapy increases circulation, thus is nourishing to the entire body. Massage promotes the release of by-products such as lactic acid,
which is one of the causes of stiff and sore muscles. We recommend one monthly massage for health and maintenance to counteract the effects
of daily stress. More often is optimal.
Massage does not come from a manual…
It comes from the heart.
