We are often asked how we arrived at the
name Tibidabo Spa, what does it mean, and
what language is it. Tibidabo Spa, Inc. is
named after Mount Tibidabo which over
looks the beautiful Mediterranean city of
Barcelona, Spain. Perched high atop Mount
Tibidabo is the Church of the Sacred Heart.

Several years ago, when we were visiting Barcelona, Spain standing at the pinnacle of Mount Tibidabo, we were reminded of GOD's promise
to Abram, who would be called Abraham, in Genesis 13:15, from the Latin "Omnem teram quam conspicis tibi dabo et semini tuo usque in
sempiternum" to English "All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever".

It has been said that it was this very site, with its majestic view of the Mediterranean Sea, that perhaps the early Christians were reminded of the
Temptation of Christ - from the Latin "Haec omnia tibi dabo", to English "all of this I shall give to you" - when all the world at HIS feet was offered
from a mountain top. The early Christians built their church on the site they named Tibidabo.
